Publix Catering Menu and Prices for Every Platter Size

Publix catering platters start at $11.99 for a mini fruit tray and $28.99 for a sub platter that feeds 10 at our Lakeland, Florida test store.
Most platters come in up to four sizes, for about 4, 10, 18 or 28 people, and Publix wants a day’s notice.
We went through all 16 categories on the online catering menu on October 19, 2026, with store #1270 selected. Prices vary by store.

Bigger platters cost less per guest
Divide each price by the number of people Publix says it serves and a pattern shows up straight away.

Produce shows the biggest drop. A mini fruit platter for 4 works out to $3.00 a person, while the large one for 28 is $1.43, less than half as much per guest. Sub platters flatten out sooner, going from $2.90 to $2.50 a person.
If your guest count falls between two sizes, order the bigger one.
Here’s why. Going from a medium to a large Sub Selections platter adds 10 servings for $20, about $2 a serving, which is cheaper than any serving on the small platter.
Sub, wrap and Cubanitos platters

Sandwiches are the biggest part of the menu, with more than 50 options at the Lakeland store. The Sub Selections platter costs $28.99, $49.99 or $69.99 for 10, 18 or 28 people, and the Wrap Variety platter starts at the same $28.99. The Cubanitos Platter, Cuban bread layered with sweet ham, pork and Swiss cheese, is the only one with a size for about 4, at $15.99.
- A Ringleader is a large party sandwich on Italian bread for about 10 people, $24.99 with Publix meats or $29.99 with Boar’s Head.
- A Meal Wheel is a ring of sandwich wedges made to order for about 5, $15.99 with Publix meats, $17.99 with Boar’s Head or $12.99 for the veggie version.
- Hot slider platters for 4 or 5 people cost $16.99 to $19.99.
- Pinwheel platters start at $39.99 for about 10.
The Boar’s Head Sub Selections platter costs $32.99, $59.99 and $79.99 by size, so the brand upgrade adds $4 to $10 a platter. For single subs, see our Publix deli menu and sub prices.
Fruit, vegetable and cheese trays
Produce platters are the cheapest way to fill a table. The Fresh Fruit Platter runs $11.99, $21.99, $32.99 and $39.99 across its four sizes, and the Garden Fresh Vegetable Platter $13.99, $24.99, $32.99 and $37.99.

If a platter is more than you need, the large fruit salad is sold by the pound at $4.99 and serves about 10. For something savory, the Cheese Classic Platter costs $22.99, $27.99 or $38.99 for 10, 18 or 28 people, and Boar’s Head charcuterie boxes for about 5 cost $19.99 to $24.99.
Chicken, wings and hot meals for 24
Chicken comes either chilled on a tray or hot in a box. The Wing Platter costs $25.99, $41.99 or $57.99 for 10, 18 or 28 people, the Chicken Tender Platter $31.99, $53.99 or $75.99, and a 50-piece order of hot wings $39.99. Bone-in fried chicken goes from 16 pieces for $20.99 up to 200 pieces for $239.99, which Publix says serves about 80.

For a whole crowd in one order, the Fried Chicken Meal for 24 is $125.99, the Fried Chicken Tender Meal for 24 is $215.99 and the Smoked Rib Meal for 24 is $229.99.
Short on time? The hot 16-piece fried chicken shows “Ready as soon as 2 hours” on the menu, while most platters show “Ready as soon as tomorrow,” which makes it the best last-minute order.
Salads, sushi, breakfast and boxed lunches
Salad platters, including Greek, Chef, Caesar, Southern Cobb and wild-caught salmon, come in sizes for 10 or 18 and start at $24.99 to $28.99. Pasta bowls for about 10, such as Bow Tie Feta and Caprese, are $27.99, grilled chicken pasta is $29.99, and the Boar’s Head cranberry chicken salad bowl is $34.99.
Appetizers start small. A deviled egg platter is $6.99 for about 4, a dip platter $19.99 for about 10 or $27.99 for about 18, and Boar’s Head hummus platters for about 18 run $21.99 to $37.99.
Sushi platters go from $26.99 for 30 pieces to $61.99 for 49. Seafood ranges from an 18-ounce shrimp platter at $22.99 to lobster and crab claw platters at $110.99 and $167.99.
Morning meetings are cheap to cover. A GreenWise bagel platter for about 15 is $16.99, and a 26-count mini croissant platter for about 20 is $18.99. For lunch, individual boxed lunches, which Publix calls executive lunches, cost $10.49 to $14.49 a box, each packed for one person.
How to order, and how far ahead
Publix asks for at least 24 hours’ notice. For anything sooner, its catering FAQ says to contact your local catering consultant directly.

- Choose your store on publix.com so the menu shows that store’s prices.
- Open the catering menu, pick a platter and choose its size.
- Choose a pickup time at least 24 hours out and place the order.
- Collect it from your store at the time you chose.
Prefer a person? Publix says the easiest way to start is to call or email your nearest catering location, or order with an associate in the store. The catering line is 1-833-PCATERS, or 833-722-8377.
Delivery costs the same, plus a fee
Delivered items are priced the same as items picked up in the store, according to the FAQ on Publix’s catering services page. Delivery is only offered in select areas, though, the range can be limited and delivery fees may apply. Publix doesn’t post those fees online, so ask whoever takes your order.
The same page lists the stores where you can sit down with a catering consultant, free of charge, to work out how much food to order.
Desserts and holiday meals
Dessert platters start at $12.99 for a cookie platter for about 10, with brownie platters from $20.99 and petit four platters from $24.99. Cakes and cupcakes are built to order, so they don’t show a set price on the catering menu. Our Publix bakery guide covers cake sizes and ordering, and our look at what comes in a Publix Thanksgiving dinner has this year’s holiday dates.
What we’d order for 25 to 30 guests
A large Sub Selections platter at $69.99 and a large fruit platter at $39.99 cover the basics for about $3.90 a guest. That’s the order we’d start with before adding anything else.
We’d skip the Boar’s Head upgrade on a big party platter unless your guests care about the brand. On a large sub platter it adds $10, and most people at a party reach for a sub without reading the label.
The lobster and crab claw platter is the one to think twice about. At $110.99 for about 10 people, it’s about $11 a guest, nearly four times the sub platter.
